Music is Asymptote
Date Posted: Jan 27, 2020That is the moving thing about music. You are alone with it, and you hear the sound fill the space. It opens another dimension you don’t need to look into, as you feel the presence of something abstract yet full of life. But the solid presence haunts your every thought as it sings your pain or bliss. It pokes your soul. Then, you realize there is beautiful energy close to you – something vital.
It is passing. It does not even give complete satisfaction, so the next thing you’ll do is listen again. It is so infinite that you can’t grasp or own it. And when it starts to break down the untold history of your life, that’s the time it gives empathy. You realize you had gained by simply sitting down with it.
You. You will leave it behind, but music will play forever and never die.
